Mr.Perfect

Her husband, among various physical accomplishments,
had been one of the most powerful ends that ever played football at New Haven....
one of those men who reach such an acute limited excellence
at twenty-one that everything afterward savors of anti-climax.
His family were enormously wealthy
even in college his freedom with money was a matter for reproach
but now he’d left Chicago and come East in a fashion that rather took your breath away
for instance, he’d brought down a string of polo ponies from Lake Forest.
It was hard to realize that a man in my own generation
was wealthy enough to do that.

Happier with or without money?

To have a lot of money doesn't mean to have the most happiness. Some one can have the most money in the world and not be happy at all. Money is only good for clothes, food, and things for sale. You cannot go out and go to the "happiness store" and buy happiness. Feelings come from the actions of people not how fat their wallet is.

I have seen people that are less fortunate and they still get by life and are happy with what they have. They are fine with their life and wouldn't change it one bit. But the number one thing to them is that they have their family with them and with the love for each other they can get through anything together. And as long as they have each other and the support of one another the love and happiness will remain in their atmosphere. So money does not give out happiness but it does play a role with tension in families. When it's the time to pay bills that's when families are always stressed and worried. They still end up keeping their cool and still have the happiness in their family.

Yes it is nice to have a lot of money and be able to go and buy whatever you want, there is no question about it. With money you won't be as stressed and have no worries. And whenever you want something you can purchase it without having to planning on how you have to save up money. When you have money and can get what you want all the time it releases pleasure to one. No happiness comes out of it though, you can have all the money in  the world and be the most miserable person ever. I know some rich people who have all the things they want but they lack happiness. They are used to buying the things they want but for example, when wanting love and attention from family that does not have a price.

I am not the wealthiest or poorest person ever and I have happiness. Not because all of the stuff i am able to receive, that is just a plus to me, but all the happiness I have from my family, friends, and love for theatre. I cannot pay my director to make me be happy with doing theatre I just love it and there is no way I can pay my family or friends to keep me happy and love me they just do. Happiness does not come from money nor will it ever have a price tag. You get happiness on how your attitude is.

Assume at first sight

Its so easy to judge a person on how they look. You may see some one always smiling and have a positive attitude every time you pass by and see them. But that person won't always be nice like we assume. They could be the meanest person ever and just have a friendly appearance. Take Regina George from Mean Girls for example. Regina George has a friendly appearance to some people but she is actually deceptive and talks bad about any one she feels like. I am deceptive also. If I am in a crowd or classroom and know no one I show a quiet shy girl exterior. But I am no where near shy or quiet, I can be very loud and knock off. Everyone is deceptive at times, like people that dress with a gothic look and have the appearance that their upset. But when you get to know them they are actually one of the most happy hearted, positive attitude.
Our values are substantial because they are what an individual follow and believe in. Just like our values Americas values are substantial also because they are what make this society and give us something to follow. If you go to an interview for college your first challenge is when they look at you and see if you look like a person who won't mess things up. And that is important because if you have "Whatever" look on then most likely that is the kind of attitude you will have. People go by the slogan "when you look your best you feel your best" and then you achieve things positively.
If someone comes to school with prada bags and clothes that are, in the fashion world, "in season" and has a purse or shoes to match every outfit it is obvious that person is wealthy. Most people that aren't as fortunate don't like them and vise versa. The unfortunate ones think of those people to be selfish and care about only themselves. While minority amount of the wealthy think that if you are not high class like them then you are "ghetto". So being wealthy or unwealthy matters quite a lot. Every time you look at someone and see their outfit and you might think "Gee is this person like really poor that they can't buy outfits that don't look like they're from the Goodwill" and even "If only I had as much money as that person I would use it for college not on dumb $300 Coach purses".
